Gemfest Festival of Gems invites you to join our happy family of volunteers. Your wonderful contribution is very much appreciated, and we recognise that without your help and support, we would not be able to successfully organise and run our fabulous festivals. Applications for both new and returning volunteers is now open. Volunteering at any of our events is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people from all over Australia, to give back to our amazing Gemfields community, and to participate in the festival and lineup of events.
Hosting a festival or event that spans across multiple locations and days is no small project, and our volunteers make a significant contribution to the success of each day. We simply could not do it without you.
As a volunteer, you can expect to donate 4 hours of your time each day of the event, in exchange for a full ticket. Your days will vary, depending on what is required. The opportunities are endless, with a variety of roles needing to be fulfilled. If you are interested in fulfilling any of these roles, please apply below.

You need a current email address to apply for a position (so that we can get in touch with you if you are successful)
Volunteers may be asked to help out in other areas of work where necessary.
For some roles, we may require specific skills or experience in a certain area, but of the majority all you need is a strong work ethic and a good attitude. We want people who are flexible, who have initiative, and who treat others with respect and kindness.

Our calendar of events relies heavily on the support of our team of volunteers, many of whom return each year to help us. We welcome all newcomers and veteran volunteers, and we hope your time as a volunteer this year is both satisfying and rewarding.
After you have filled in the application form, you will be sent an email acknowledging your application. Please contact us if you have not received this email within 24 hours (but be sure to check your spam folder first).
We will do our best to respond to your application within 2 weeks as to whether you have been accepted or not.
